A house sitter is there to ensure your house looks occupied, deterring burglars. The sitter stays there every night and depending on your location is also there for much of the day, and comes and goes giving visbile activity, especially if you have a driveway space for your sitter.
There are many benefits to having a house sitter.
- Your house sitter is there to handle things until your return, leaving you to enjoy your holiday with peace of mind
- Lights go on and off in the evening and at night
- Curtains are opened and closed
- There is no buildup of mail in the hall
- The sitter can put you bins out and take them back in so you don’t have refuse sitting while you are away
- Drive is swept so it always looks like there is someone in the house
- There is activity in the house which will deter burglars
- Your house will be aired regularly so come back to an aired house
- If you are away in winter (ok, its Ireland, if you’re away not in a good summer!), you will come back to a warm, damp free home
- The sitter can start your car engines so you don’t come back to dead batteries
You get to enjoy your holidays without having to think about what might be happening with your home while you are away
